Harper's First Christmas

Here are some pictures from Harper's very first Christmas. It was such a fun morning opening presents together as a family and Harper refused to nap after opening presents so she stayed awake for 3 hours playing with all her new toys. I love Christmas and this year was such a special year for us. I'm so happy Harper is here this year, she makes everything so much better.

Most these photos are blurry, it's really hard to capture a moving Harper...

Merry Christmas!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas this year with family and friends!

..::[[Nine Months]]::..

Once again I can't believe how big Harper is getting. I'm loving life with Harper. I'm starting to forget that I even had a life before her. It's beginning to feel like I've known her forever. This month was another fun one, as always Harper is very intrigued by everything around her and is learning so many new things.

Harper Lately:

-Got her first real tooth! It's a sharp little guy who is located on the bottom gums right in the middle on the left side. It's arrival was not too fun but nobody ever said teething was a cake walk. What I wouldn't give to have one week of hell but all the teeth pop out at once! That would be awesome...one can wish..

-Can stand on her own...when she decides she wants to

-Scoots all over the place

-Is trying to pull herself up on everything

-She's trying lots of new finger foods. Now that she knows how to feed herself she gets really annoyed when I try to feed her

-Knows what her toy box is and will pull on it til it falls over so she can get more toys out

-Is trying out new sippy cups to find one she likes...weaning is just around the corner!

I suppose that's really all the new things happening since last month. It's been really cool to get to watch her learn so many new things. I'm so beyond grateful that I get to be home each and every day with her to be there while she discovers so many things. The days aren't always easy but there is nothing else in the world I'd rather be doing. I'm SO excited for Christmas this year, I always love Christmas but this year will probably be my favorite year yet. I only wish Preston and I had our families near so we could spend it with them and they could be there for Harper's first Christmas. It will still be so fun to experience such a special holiday and celebration with her though.

Here are a few pictures of a nine month old Harper Grace

Eight Months

Tiny Harper is eight months old now! I can honestly say that I have enjoyed each stage of Harper's life but this stage she's in right now is my current favorite. She is SO much fun! I love that her personality is coming out so much right now and she's learning and discovering so many new things each day. I love that she's still on a great schedule and I know what to expect (to a certain extent) out of our days. I'm SO excited that the holidays are coming up and we get to experience them with a baby this year. I know she has no clue what's going on but it's still so fun and exciting for us.

Harper lately:

- can say "mama" and "dada" and she's starting to discover who is who. She says them all. the. time.   Hearing her say "mama" when I pick her up out of her crib in the morning is one of my very favorite things. I remember being pregnant and wondering what her little voice would sound like. I'm excited for her to learn even more words and start talking a lot. Even though I'm fairly certain once she gets going the talking will NEVER stop.

- Can drink out of a normal cup. She's really not a fan of sippy cups or bottles at all so I decided to see what she would do with real cup and she looooooves it.

- This girl can eat! She eats unreal amounts of food for how small she is and we love it.

- She learned how to feed herself! It is sooooooo freaking cute. I love sitting and watching her grab her snacks with her chubby little dimply hands and shoving her whole fist into her mouth to retrieve her treat.

- She loooooooooooooooves fruit (especially berries...she gets that from me) and yogurt. Her favorite foods besides those are any kind of puffs, lil crunchies, yogurt melts, arrowroot cookies, black beans, pastas, string cheese, ham, turkey and chicken

- I think she might actually crawl soon...when she sees something she wants and she's sitting she will stretch out as far as she possibly can to get it and tries to wiggle her way closer to it.

- Harper is such a people watcher....she's borderline creepy about it. She's so funny when we take her out..especially to church. She just slowly scans the room and stares at everyone

- She hates socks and shoes and will pull them off over and over and over again...I don't know why I even bother with socks anymore (I've pretty much given up on shoes all together)

- Harper dances any time she hears music. It doesn't matter if it's a TV commercial, Preston singing, a ringtone, an actual song, a movie, Ellen, anything...it's so cute. It's like she can't help but dance when she hears music

- Had her first modeling photo shoot...I was so proud of her and she looked beautiful. It was weird how pretty she looked in the photos, She's always been cute but lately I can't help but notice how pretty she is getting.

- likes to stand all the time and is working on pulling herself up on everything.

Here are some photos :)

Happy Thanksgiving! See you next month
